| Originally from India, Mechanical Engineer, Amlan Choudhury came to Australia to further his studies. After completing his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, with a major in air conditioning and refrigeration he moved to Brisbane to commence a Masters in Engineering at the University of Queensland. Joining the AE Smith Mackay team in 2006, AE Smith sponsored Amlan’s Permanent Residency application. “I’ve been really lucky to put my skills and qualifications to use at a company like AE Smith and I hope becoming an Australian citizen shows my commitment to this country and its people,” comments Amlan. “We’re so pleased to secure a great young talent in Amlan at AE Smith and we’re just as proud to see he’s taken a big step in becoming an Australian citizen,” adds Mike Mulherin, General Manager of AE Smith Mackay.
