The Cairns Base Hospital project included the refurbishment of two existing buildings. Building A consisted of 6 levels which were completely demolished internally and fitted out with new services and building works. Building B consisted of 8 levels which were only partly demolished. Our scope of works included the installation of new air handling plant and ductwork, chilled water, condenser water, heating water plant, pipework and reverse osmosis (chemical process to demineralise water), medical gas and LPG systems. We also handled the refurbishment and system extension/modification to the existing plant equipment, ductwork and pipework.
