| These prestigious awards are arranged by the United Nations Association of Australia to acknowledge actions being taken at a local level that have a global impact. |
| The 2008 awards are themed, ‘Kick the Habit! Towards a Low Carbon Economy’ and focus on taking responsibility to reduce our dependence on carbon as part of our lifestyles and working practices.
